When the sun goes down
and seems to sleep,
the moon comes out for a "peek".
It keeps a vigil over our dark skies,
watching us through the night
with prying eyes.
Created to mark
the months and days,
by taking on different shapes
and lunar displays.
Created by God
as a guiding light,
along with the stars,
to rule the night...
