Yellow Star
It rises in the east
and sets in the west.
It provided life giving light
at the Lord's request.
Rays traveling at the speed of light
to begin the day,
over millions of miles
yet seeming to be only a touch away.
This "yellow star" full of hydrogen gases,
is the center of the solar system,
heating the masses.
Burning white hot with energy,
the strength of the sun's gravity,
holds together it's celestial family...
